ThriftyQuaker
Volunteer
In order
to keep our operating costs as low as possilbe, The Thrifty
Quaker, relies heavily on volunteers to oerate the store.
Perhaps you are interested in helping. You do not have to be a Quaker. You do
not have to attend any church. All we ask of our volunteers are four
things:
Honesty
A willingness to
meet your volunteer commitments
A desire to help with social
outreach
Be at least 14 years of
age
There are many ways you can help The Thrifty Quaker to carry out its mission. We appreciate any assistance with:
Occasionally offering your services to
pick up donated items that people are unable to bring in
themselves.
Pricing donated
items.
Stocking the store with donated
items.
Sales clerking
Seeking donations
from retial outlets and yard sales
Offering your expertise or service to
the store (for example: an accountant could review the books, or a carpenter
could build displays, or a heating and air conditioning contractor could provide
scheduled maintenance)
Contributing money to purchase items
needed to operate the store
A charitable organization such as The Thrifty Quaker thrives on the volunteer help we receive from you and likeminded folks. Even if you are unable to volunteer in any of the ways described above, you can help just by telling other folks about the work we have done, are doing, and hope to do in the future. We are only as strong as our community which supports us.
