HELP THE WORLD and rEDUCE YOUR TAXES JUST BY DONATING!

dON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HOSTING YARD SALES

Unless you enjoy spending hours preparing for and hosting a yard sale, just donate your gently used items to The Thrifty Quaker   instead.  Most people find they can glean as much money or more by claiming a tax deduction for items they donate to The Thrifty Quaker.  Unlike many thrift stores, all of our proceeds (after operating expenses) are given away to people in need - either directly or by providing financial grants to mostly local charities that help people.

You can trust The Thrifty Quaker  does not financially support efforts that are attempting to push a religious or political agenda - we only provide financial grants to efforts that are promoting non-violent conflict resolution, honest/genuine human relationships, improved quality of life, enhanced and livable communities, equal treatment for all people, and an improved environment.

What to Donate

If you think someone else might want your discarded item, then consider donating it to The Thrifty Quaker.  Generally, any item you think you could sell at a yard sale, is a candidate for donating.  People donate to us clothing, electronics, household items, small and large appliances, furniture, books/media, jewelry, automotive supplies, sports equipment, toys/games, whatever - even cars!  All we ask is that it be gently used or new and in working order.

HOW TO DONATE

Just bring your donations to The Thrifty Quaker  when we are open.  Our friendly associates will provide you a tax receipt for your records and filing with the IRS.  We regret that we have no means to pick up your donations because we are not a big business.  We hope you agree it's worthwhile to help those we support by delivering your donations to us.  And, you may deduct your mileage from your taxes that you incurred during the delivery.
